H. Samuel is handing out free diamond rings — here’s how to claim yours

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend. But you know what else is a girl’s best friend? Free things.

For a limited time, the high-street jeweller is giving customers a free lab-grown diamond ring worth up to £750 when they spend a certain amount on selected diamond jewellery.

So it’s basically a buy one heirloom, get another free deal. Who doesn’t love the sound of that?

Here’s how it works: spend £500 or more on selected natural or lab-grown diamond jewellery, and you’ll receive a complimentary 0.5 carat lab-grown diamond ring, valued at £500.

Spend £750 or more, and that free ring gets upgraded to a 1-carat lab-grown diamond ring, worth £750. In both cases, customers can choose their ring size, with the gifted ring arriving in a sleek silver setting.

How are lab-grown diamonds made?

Also known as man-made or cultured diamonds, lab-grown diamonds are literal carbon copies of the gems found in the earth, except that they take less than a month to develop in a controlled environment.

Scientists take tiny diamond ‘seeds’ and grow them by putting them under high pressure and temperatures so that layers of carbon form rapidly over them. As well as clear diamonds, you can find lab-grown diamonds in rare shades like pink and yellow.

The offer runs until March 29, making it perfectly timed for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day (March 15, if you’re a planner), an anniversary present, a ‘just because’ gift, or something to treat yourself with.

Shopping for an engagement ring? You could walk away with a second diamond ring to hide away for a later anniversary. Better yet, now’s the best time to buy that piece of jewellery for someone else, as you can get a free ring out of it.

The offer taps neatly into the growing appetite for lab-grown diamonds — stones that offer the same sparkle and durability as mined diamonds, but with a more accessible price point and ethical appeal.

So, whether you’re already browsing for diamond rings, bracelets or necklaces you’d likely be buying anyway, or this spurs you on to get yourself a New Year treat (what better way to kick off 2026 than with a dazzler parked on your finger?), there’s no better time than the present to shop diamonds.

You can explore the selected range at H. Samuel now (and remember: spend £500 to get a 0.5-carat diamond ring, or £750 to get a 1-carat whopper).
