The Sallisaw Lady Diamonds entered Labor Day Weekend on a high note as they swept a home District 4A-6 doubleheader from the Idabel Lady Warriors by a pair of five-inning, runrule games by score of 15-1 and 13-2 last Thursday afternoon on “The Turf of Dreams.”
The two wins snapped the Lady Diamonds’ seven-game losing streak. The district sweep of the Lady Warriors were the first wins for Sallisaw since back-to-back road victories over Roland (5-2 score) and Stilwell (14-3 in four innings) on Aug. 20 and 21, respectively.
