Oakland alt-rock / darkwave trio Sword Tongue present their new single “Diamonds To Rust (Anthony (H) Remix),” a club-focused rework of the song “Diamonds To Rust” from their EP “Bonfire In The Tempest.”
Created in collaboration with electro-industrial DJ and producer Anthony H, the remix pushes the song into an EDM and industrial-leaning direction, with a higher tempo, heavier kicks and tribal-influenced percussion built around Jennifer Wilde’s lead vocal.
Vocalist Jennifer Wilde explains that the new version takes one of the band’s own favourites and turns it into “a more DJ-friendly and dance floor filling powerhouse,” while also reflecting on the song’s core theme as “an anxious reckoning of the unceasing progress of time” at a point when “all that is desired is rest and pause” but time still moves forward.
“Diamonds To Rust (Anthony (H) Remix)” continues the collaboration between the band and Anthony H (Anthony Hudson), a London, Ontario-based industrial electro bass artist and DJ. Active under the Anthony (H) name, he has released material such as the “Live Evil Productions VS. Anthony (H) – Lemme Go EP” and in the past collaborated with Omnimar, Komor Kommando, Moaan Exis, Matt Hart, Spankthenun, 40 Octaves Below and producer Anthony Valcic, known for work with Frontline Assembly, Skinny Puppy and Numb.
The original version of “Diamonds To Rust” appears on “Bonfire In The Tempest,” Sword Tongue’s five-track EP released on July 3, 2025. The EP is self-released by the band and is available as a digital download and as a first-print red cassette edition that includes a dedicated album poem, with both formats offered through Bandcamp.
About Sword Tongue
Sword Tongue formed in Oakland, California in 2020 around the husband-and-wife duo of guitarist and bassist Gaetano Maleki and vocalist and lyricist Jennifer Wilde. The project began releasing material in May 2020 with the debut EP “Shadows In The Shape Of Men,” followed by the single “Broken (Shattered Remix),” and built a catalogue of self-released digital singles and EPs distributed via Bandcamp and the main streaming services.
In 2021 the band issued the EP “Into The Sun,” followed by the single “Into the Sun – Coronal Loops Mix” in early 2022. That same year they released “The Illusionist (Anthony (H) Remix),” marking their first collaboration with Anthony H. The band expanded into a trio when drummer-producer Dan Milligan joined; he is known as the driving force behind The Joy Thieves and has production and remix credits with artists including Chris Connelly, Pig, Consolidated and members of Ministry, Stabbing Westward, Killing Joke and Nine Inch Nails.
The band’s third EP “Taming The Night Wolves” arrived in 2023, followed in 2024 by the single “Diamonds To Rust,” which introduced the song later reworked on “Bonfire In The Tempest” and the new “Diamonds To Rust (Anthony (H) Remix).” “Bonfire In The Tempest” was released on July 3, 2025 as Sword Tongue’s fourth EP, available digitally and on cassette.
Musically, Sword Tongue describe their sound as emerging darkwave and alt-rock with strong links to 1990s alternative music, weaving in elements of rock, industrial, shoegaze and trip-hop.
The current lineup consists of Jennifer Wilde (vocals, lyrics), Gaetano Maleki (guitars, bass) and Dan Milligan (drums, production).

Anthony H (Anthony Hudson) is an industrial, electro-bass and EBM-oriented DJ, producer and remix artist based in London, Ontario, Canada. Under the Anthony (H) name he has released material via Bandcamp, including the 2022 digital release “Live Evil Productions VS. Anthony (H) – Lemme Go EP”.
His remix and collaboration credits include work with Omnimar, Moaan Exis, Matt Hart, Spankthenun, Die Warzau, Live Evil Productions and producer Anthony Valcic, known for long-running work with industrial acts such as Frontline Assembly, Skinny Puppy and Numb.
With “Diamonds To Rust (Anthony (H) Remix),” Anthony H extends his collaboration with Sword Tongue following his earlier rework of “The Illusionist,” applying his industrial bass and club-oriented production approach to the Oakland trio’s darkwave and alt-rock material.
