Trump Makes Bizarre Boast About Beating Top Democrats In Dementia Test

President Donald Trump was ripped on Monday for boasting about passing a dementia test as he attempted to belittle potential Democratic presidential hopefuls.

Ocasio-Cortez is 36, and Crockett is 44.

The brief assessment screens for signs of cognitive decline in the elderly and stroke patients, and sets simple tasks such as drawing a clock, identifying animals and repeating a string of words back.

While keeping the door open to a Constitution-breaching third term, Trump once again accused the prominent Democrats of having “low IQ” and suggested they should take the “cognitive tests” he underwent at the Walter Reed Medical Center.

To be clear, the MoCA is not designed as a measure of intelligence or IQ.

“Let AOC go against Trump. Let Jasmine go against Trump,” Trump said. “The first couple of questions are easy: a tiger, an elephant, a giraffe. When you get up to about five or six, then you get up to 10 and 20 and 25, they couldn’t come close to answering any of those questions.” (Watch a clip below.)

In a statement in April, the president’s physician said Trump had taken the MoCA and scored 30 out of 30. A score of 25 or lower would signal cognitive impairment.

It’s unclear whether Trump actually took the test again during a hastily announced visit to Walter Reed earlier this month.

On Monday, Trump revealed he had a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) test during the recent checkup, which came amid concerns about the president’s health fueled by images showing bruising on his hands and swelling in his legs.

Trump said the doctors told him the checkup led to “some of the best reports they’ve ever seen” given his age.

On X, the press office of California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) was among many mocking the president for appearing smug over his cognitive test success.
